Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Digital Designer will work on existing company digital platforms, web and mobile, and when required on new products in development.
The designer will contribute to different projects, with your team, external agencies or independently. Focusing on delivering user experience (UX) and design specifications, such as mock-ups and wireframes, seeing that they meet our business needs. Responsible for research, devising and developing concepts based on the design brief by preparing material including working drawings, storyboards and layouts.
Liaising with senior UX staff to ensure that designs communicate the intended message, brand identity and look and feel, and that content structure and information architecture is correct.
To liaise with technical, commercial, editorial, project management and product management staff throughout the project phase to ensure UX work consistently answers the brief in terms of commercial and editorial needs, and functionality.
To research and prepare material in support of new design concepts and create working drawings, storyboards and layouts to evaluate and present these ideas
To take into account and contribute to any existing design styles (eg Global Experience Language) and ensure that any design work for new multi-platform projects supports OR evolves these where appropriate
To offer expert advice to commercial, product, editorial and technical teams on design and UX principles and technologies (eg what can, and cannot, be done)
To re-purpose existing elements and templates as required by design changes
To keep abreast of industry design developments and technology, and be able to interpret how these would impact services from a design perspective.
To share information, ideas and best practice with other UX team members and divisional design/UX teams

Academic qualifications

Interaction Design Degree/Diploma or Graphic Design Degree/Diploma Or equivalent


Work experience and skills:

Strong storyboard skills
Excellent knowledge of ecommerce best practices
Outstanding skills in Interaction Architecture, typography, animation, style guide creation, video production
Passion for interaction design, touch screen design, and mobile platforms
Strong Background in HTML, HTML5, CSS, and Flash
To understand usability and navigation issues and integrate these in overall design concept
o Typesetting, design and layout skills
o Some knowledge of accessibility standards
o Knowledge of different digital platforms – web, mobile (iPad and iPhone, BlackBerry, Android), applications
o A passion for digital design
o An eye for detail
o Organized and able to prioritize work to meet deadlines
o Patient and flexible
o Good communication skills

Academic qualifications

Degree in Marketing or related field / Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing/Communication.

Work experience and skills:

3 to 4 years of experience in interactive marketing –  exposure to advertising and direct marketing is advantageous
Experience with setting and managing high-level client expectations
Experience and ability to develop and motivate a junior client services team
Excellent presentation skills
A high standard of written and verbal communication

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist EFTA to build a strong supplier base to increase choice for our customers. This involves vetting potential new suppliers to ensure they provide quality equipment and after-sales service, and includes site inspection visits.
Trouble shoot equipment problems after installation and liaise with both customers and suppliers for repair, acting as a go-between in difficult situations.
Formulate supplier proposals for the review of the EFTA Credit Committee.
Assess equipment and machinery for suitability for a customer’s needs.
Coordinate with the investment team, finance team and suppliers to ensure that the appropriate work flow is followed after Credit Committee approval by:
o drafting purchase orders for signature;
o drafting approval letters;
o drafting lease agreements;
o preparing payment documentation
o assisting in coordination of deliveries.
Assist in specification and purchasing for other equipment required for effective investment management, such as GPS locators, GPS equipment tracking and hand-held smart devices.
Support with logistical company tasks such as office procurement.
Support reconditioning and re-sale of repossessed equipment assisting in buy-backs with trusted suppliers and maintaining database of potential buyers.
Work with the Supplier and Operations Manager to assess the value of machinery in outstanding investments.

Required skills:

Three key skills are required for this position:
excellent written English with the ability to write supplier proposals and letters to customers with minimal need for supervision;
High achievement in mathematics, enabling the applicant to execute the various arithmetic tasks associated with machinery valuation, purchase order formulation and lease repayment calculations; and a strong knowledge of engineering and electronics, allowing the applicant to vet supplier machinery confidently, assess suitability for customer needs and diagnose any machinery breakdowns once operational.
Beyond this, the applicant will be asked to prove that they are:
problem solvers, who can analyse difficult situations and provide solutions where others cannot;
good with people in order to resolve difficult situations; well-organised to manage the many different day-to-day tasks he/she will be allocated;
Motivated in order to thrive in a fast-paced hard-working organisation; and reliable in order to cope with the increasing responsibilities which will accompany this role.
