Major responsibilities-
Manage all project activities, administrative, budgetary and logistical operations and

Actively monitor project issues/risks to foresee and identify potential problems and proactively  identify solutions to address them in advance
Maintain continuity of work operations by documenting and communicating needed actions to board
Discovering irregularities; determining continuing needs.
Fund raising..&Proposal writing
Prepare quality and timely monthly, quarterly, semi- annual and annual narrative reports.

Qualifications
Bachelor of community development/Bachelor of Education/Bachelor of Sociology or other related field

Experience, skills and ability
2-4 years project management experience community development works
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Proposal  writing
Computer application skills..
Experience in working with donor funded projects.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Kiswahili, including report writing. Excellent networking and organizational skills.

Set appointments with and conduct all interviews with designated portion of participating households, recording all data on tablet computers;
Record additional findings, comments, and qualitative observations about households on an ongoing basis;
Review and cross check data for accuracy and submit data to a central database on a daily basis;
Report back on progress and findings to field supervisor and research manager;
Participate in daily progress-tracking and analysis phone calls with the research team;
Provide feedback to the research manager and project manager on data analysis by providing their input and impressions based on fieldwork; and
Maintain the interest, trust, and participation of participating communities and households.

Requirements

•         Bachelors degree in sociology, economics, demography, or other social science;
•         Experience working with low-income communities, preferably in a research role;
•         Demonstrated commitment to quality research;
•         Ability to communicate fluently in English, Swahili, and other local languages;
•         Good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, with email, and the internet;
•         Strong work ethic and proactive attitude in pointing out challenges and asking questions; and
•         Ability to collaborate with a team and also work independently.

Duration:  Full time from February 2014 through September 2014
