Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manages the Real Estate Division,
  • Provides divisional staff with leadership by giving them a clear and shared vision, motivation and team spirit,
  • Based on the prepared Strategic Plan ofthe parent Ministry (MoW), procures feasibility and other studies related to the preparation of housing programmes for civil servants and Government office accommodation,
  • Reviews the technical aspects of consultants' feasibility studies regarding Government Real Estate projects' scope and costing,
  • Liaises with the parent Ministry (MoW) to ensure compliance with Government policies, strategies and funding for the Government housing sector;
  • Liaises with the parent Ministry, Interested Investors, Funding A~encies and other stakeholders in the preparation and implementation of development housing programmes;
  • Oversees the procurement of goods, services (feasibility studies, valuation, maintenance, inventory of government real properties) and all contracts related to Government
  • Real Estate development;
  • Monitors project progress and resolves implementation problems in order to achieve performance targets; Ensures the implementation of quality assurance procedures that lead to customer focus/perspective; Advises the Chief Executive on all development aspects of the Agency's works;
  • Prepares for the Chief Executive periodic reports on the status of all activities related to government Real Estates; and
  • Performs such other related duties as may be assigned by the Chief Executive from time to time.

Qualification and Experience
  • Postgraduate qualification lQ, Real Estate Management or Housing Management skills,
  • Bachelor/Advanced either in Architecture, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying professions,
  • Must have a minimum experience of 10 years in the building industry and at least five years experience in the management of real properties and experience in leading such large-multi-disciplinary professional teams.
  • He/she must be registered with the relevant professional Board.

Remuneration
Attractive remuneration package in accordance with the Institution's salary scale (LSSE) 3.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze the Client's requirements on buildings projects,
  • Advise and analyze the need and scope of work for various technical services,
  • Organize and arrange site visit and carry out initial appraisals,
  • Collaborate with other technical team of the project to analyze and prepare outline proposals for building projects,
  • Preparation of the programme and presentation of the proposal for the project team meetings,
  • Provide all information complete in sufficient detail and arrange for tendering for the project as advised by the Architect,
  • Prepare report, schedule of work, correspondences of the project and seek the approval of the Chief Architect,
  • Conduct condition surveys of existing buildings,
  • Prepare project brief in collaboration with the Quantity Surveyor,
  • Approve preliminary and final cost estimates of the project and contract documents,
  • Develops concept of the design works as well as improve the use of materials in the Construction Industry,
  • Ensure that the designed and existing built environment conform to appropriate technical specifications and standards, and
  • Performs such other duties as may be assigned by the supervising officer from time to time.


Qualification and Experience
  • Degree or Advanced Diploma in Architecture.
  • Masters Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Architecture will be an added advantage.
  • Working experience of not less than seven (7) years in the related field, two years of which should be at a senior managerial level.
  • Must be a registered Architect.
  • Must possess computer knowledge.

Overall Responsibilities:
  • The Child Protection Field Technical Officer will work with Child Protection Field Technical

  • Specific Responsibilities:
  • Under the guidance of the Deputy Chief of Party, support local Implementing Partners to ensure they have the knowledge, skills and tools to roll out the program's CP & PSS strategy. Collaborate with Child Protection and Psychosocial Support team to ensure WEI/Bantwana CP & PSS strategy is effectively being roll out to partners through training workshops, ToT workshops and on site mentoring and support supervision visits to partner organizations as needed. Participate in the strengthening and supporting Child Right Clubs models and ensure its effective implementation and provide close support supervision visits to local partners, including schools as needed.
  • Provide backstopping to local partners in cross-cutting child rights and protection issues, such as school-based and community-based Child Rights Clubs, community mapping of
  • CP and PSS service providers for referrals, child participation, and enforcement of their child safeguarding policies.
  • At all times carry out responsibilities with due regard to WEIIBantwana commitment to safeguarding children in accordance with organization's policies and procedures and other relevant policies.

  • A graduate from an accredited university with a bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or its equivalent

  • The Nutrition Technical Officer, based in Arusha, will provide overall strategic and technical direction for program nutrition initiatives and will be responsible for developing, managing and evaluating innovative, cross-cutting nutrition interventions in the Northern Zone. The Nutrition Technical Officer will provide leadership, oversight, and technical expertise in the development and implementation of Pamoja Tuwalee nutrition strategy targeting Local Government Authorities (LGAs) and community in the Northern Zone. The Nutrition Technical Officer will ensure that the WEI/Bantwana staff and partners have the information, skills and tools to adequately implement the nutrition activities. The Nutrition Technical Officer will work collaboratively with other Senior Technical Officers to ensure integrated multi-Sectoral approach wherever appropriate.
  • Specific Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop simplified nutrition materials and simple guides to support village level most vulnerable children committees (MVCCs), health facilities, district and regional nutrition teams.
  • Provide guidance and support to WEI/Bantwana staff, implementing partners and local government authorities staff at regional, district, ward and village level to ensure they have the knowledge, skills and tool to roll out nutritioQ activities under Pamoja Tuwalee program in Northern Zone.
  • Support local Implementing Partners to ensure they have the knowledge, skills and tools to roll out nutrition activities and address nutrition needs among MVC households.
  • Take the lead and support District Nutrition Officers and the team to design and develop nutrition materials that will promote model behaviors and attitudes among communities, in coordination with partner organizations that address malnutrition issues among MVCs.
  • Collaborates with the other nutrition Implementing Partners, including public institutions and other partners to identify interventions and activities necessary for improved planning, implementation and monitoring of childhood nutrition of the most vulnerable children and their households.

Minimum Education and Experience:
  • A graduate from an accredited university with a Bachelor's degree in Home Economics and Human Nutrition or its equivalent. Masters degree in Home Economics and Human Nutrition will be an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in nutrition field while progressively responsible professional work experience in social development- preferably in child development and nutrition at community level with in depth understanding and knowledge of the Child Development and Nutrition sector.
  • Experience working with an NGO or an international agency is required.
