International Rescue Committee (IRC) Careers - Youth and Livelihood Officer

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is recruiting a Youth and Livelihood Officer in Nyarugusu Camp, Kasulu, Tanzania

Deadline: 21st November 2014

Terms: This is a fulltime position

Duties: Support the YLD-S in the management and implementation of youth livelihoods and development activities in Nyarugusu refugee camp; Support the YLD-S to identify social needs and problems of vulnerable youth and identify appropriate responses. Support cultural, sports and recreational activities for youth in camps, in collaboration with incentive staff and community groups; Lead the introduction of sports aimed to target female participation, including community awareness raising on the issue.

Education: Diploma in social work or relevant social science with at least 1 years relevant work experience; OR at least 3 years relevant work experience.

Experience: Experience working with children and youth, and especially vulnerable youth desirable.
