The DFID-funded Education Quality Improvement Programme in Tanzania (EQUIP-T) aims to support 36 districts in their efforts to produce a better quality of primary education for more than two million children in over 3700 primary schools.
We need an Administration Manager to ensure the EQUIP-Tanzania programme operations, logistics, systems and general administration function effectively.
Based in Dar es Salaam, with travel to participating regions, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely provision of office facilities and services for each new region, supporting the recruitment and training of support staff in all central and regional offices, overseeing office systems, procedures, financial and contract management and all vehicle management.
The Dar es Salaam office personnel will report directly to the Administration Manager.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in public administration, accounting or similar with proven experience in programme operations and administration in Tanzania and/or the region.
You will have set up and managed operations and logistical procedures and have excellent working knowledge of contract and financial management in a development programme context and have managed small to medium sized teams.
