Job Title: Retail Outlet Manager - Zambia

Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for achieving sales targets, revenues, profits, cost management for all businesses within his/her area
Planning of stock replenishment on Retail Outlets (RO) knowing the capacities and seasonal trends
Close follow up with RO managers/dealers to ensure targets are met
Compiling and forwarding all sales related reports to HO as required
Maintaining high quality service at Retail Outlets in ensuring that processes and procedures are adhered to
Responsible for uniform and quality implementation of all approved RO related internal processes in his/her area
Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of RO ambience, forecourt facilities, equipment and other assets to maximize uptime and visual appeal
Conduct audits of all RO’s and ensure that all essential requirements are fully complied; assess various aspects of customer service, stock losses and compile reports
• Ensure RO staff are trained according to Lake Oil standards in ensuring high quality of customer service
• Regular tasks include – spending time with customers and pump attendants at the forecourt, supervising the decantation process once in a while
Should be well versed with various statutory acts, licenses and their applicability to our Retail outlets
Should be fully conversant with any agreements, policies on marketing promotions, loyalty programs etc..
Ensuring that safe environments are provided, PPE standards are adhered to and safety standards followed
To develop and build customer base in his/her area including expanding the Retail network and maintaining good business relationships
Responsible for customer service and retention
Customer acquisition and relationship management of customer based in his/her area
Improving productivity of assets and timely augmentation wherever necessary
Implementation of marketing events and promotions as directed by the Head of Sales & Marketing
Conduct field visits and trading area surveys; identify potential sites
Obtain statutory licenses, approvals, etc.

Have the knowledge of the market and industry and ensure interaction and good coordination amongst the various departments
Maintain good relations with government bodies and other authorities
Responsible for obtaining OMC sales / other marketing intelligence data in pursuance of better business opportunities for ROs in his/her area
Coordinate with various other role holders: Retail Maintenance, Projects & Engineering Dept, Managers/ Dealers, Finance/Accounts Dept, Depot staff etc.

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree or postgraduate in Marketing or Business
5 years of experience in sales and marketing or business
