Associate, Private Sector Malaria Case Management at Clinton Health Access Initiative in Tanzania

Job Title: Associate, Private Sector Malaria Case Management

Responsibilities:

Contribute to the planning and execution of high-impact projects
Provide research and analytical support
Support evaluation and documentation of results and impact from programs
Develop influential presentation materials that work for varying audiences
Build and manage relationships with individuals in the NMCP, in CHAI, and other relevant partner organizations
Support the Private Sector Focal Person and the Director of Case Management in the NMCP, and the Malaria Program Manager in CHAI, with other areas as necessary
Identify potential areas of additional support to the NMCP
Assist in the coordination of a national evaluation of the availability of malaria diagnosis and treatment in the private sector
Organize training sessions for health care workers in private health facilities on the importance and use of malaria rapid diagnostic tests (mRDTs)
Liaise between the NMCP and private sector importers of malaria drugs and diagnostic tests
Support the NMCP to develop forecasts for needed commodities and write concept notes and applications to the Global Fund and other donors to secure funds
Assist with CHAI's activities to increase the use of mRDTs nationally


Qualifications:

Excellent problem solving, analytical and quantitative skills
Excellent program coordination and project management skills
Fluent in English – excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, complete deliverables on time, and motivate others to do the same
Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to build professional relationships with the NMCP, CHAI, and key stakeholders
Ability to learn on the job quickly and absorb/synthesize a broad range of information
Ability to react quickly to ad-hoc requests while managing an existing workload
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Proficient in spoken Swahili
Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred qualifications:

Graduate degree in business, medicine, pharmacology, logistics, public health, or other relevant field
Private sector experience
Experience related to public health, clinical medicine, or the pharmaceutical or medical devices industries
Experience coordinating logistics for large programs and/or supply chains
Experience in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
