Job summary:

The Finance Director for I-TECH Tanzania is responsible for management and oversight of all financial processes and procedures, including budget coordination and monitoring, financial procedures and internal controls, accounts payable and purchasing integration, payroll systems, coordination with I-TECH HQ financial staff, cash flow management, computerized accounting systems and procedures, audits, financial leadership and management. The Finance Director will supervise the Finance Manager and will manage the Finance unit. The Finance Director will be part of the Management team and will work closely with the I-TECH headquarters' Financial Fiscal Lead, as well as technical and Finance staff from headquarters,

General Roles and Responsibilities:

Financial management, vision, and leadership
Budgeting and monitoring
Procurement development and management
Assure implementation of and adherence to financial procedures Oversee financial recording and reporting
Audit Compliance Coordination
Staff oversight and supervision
Capacity building coordination

Required Qualifications:

Professional Accounting qualification such as ACCA/CPA / CIMA /CA preferably with a Master's Degree in Finance or Business Administration
Minimum of 10 years professional accounting experience which demonstrates increasingly responsible financial management experience preferably in an international development organization
Familiarity with managing donor funded programs particularly with those that are USG funded
Strong management and interpersonal skills required
Proven experience which demonstrates mastery of computerized accounting systems, especially QuickBooks Premier and/or Enterprise
Excellent written & spoken English.
Ability to communicate financial and accounting information to I-TECH management in Tanzania and Seattle, Washington, USA and to donors Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, politically and legally complex environment where priorities may change frequently
Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented and sensitive to confidential information Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity and experience with USG financial compliance and reporting Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software
Fluency in Kiswahili
