We are looking for an Operations Support Assistant to provide administration, logistics, travel and visa service support to the Programme in Shinyanga region.

Responsibilities:

Providing all necessary support for managing Consultants visits including travel and accommodation arrangements, making arrangements for programme staff official trips.
Facilitating annual reviews, workshops, research by drawing up schedules and itineraries for activities, confirming and arranging meetings.
Keeping the teams updated on staff movements and appointments on a weekly basis.
Identification of suitable venues for all workshops and events
Management of the visa application process of non-Tanzanian technical staff.
Processing bills and requests for payments. Keeping financial records and documents for all relevant departments.
Maintenance of the contacts database and document registers, ensuring all information is updated and files are kept in good order
Supporting the Procurement process for the project ensuring adherence to project specific guidelines
Arranging all appointments and meetings for Senior Managers and technical team, making necessary arrangements for these appointments.
Any other administration duties as required

Qualification:

Be educated to degree level or equivalent
Hold a relevant qualification in administration/office skills or IT
Previous experience of providing administrative support to a programme team
Have worked within a multi-disciplinary team (desirable)
Have excellent knowledge of the Tanzanian immigration service as well as previous experience in visa facilitation
Be able to work under pressure with good problem solving skills
Be IT literate with good communication and organisation skills.
Be able to prioritise with good attention to detail.
Be pro-active in dealing with facility-related issues as well as the logistics of running a busy development programme office.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, sociology or related fields or a BSc and equivalent experience. At least 3-5 years' demonstrated experience implementing Community led Total Sanitation ((lTS), and 5-8 years working in water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) Programming
Experience implementing participatory approaches such as PHAST, CHAST and Barrier Analysis, experience in formative research would be an added advantage
Knowledge and understanding of gender analysis and transformation in rural communities Good communication skills, good capacity to work in a multi-cultural team.
Experience managing Projects with strong M&E skills, and staff supervision
Ability and willingness to work long hours in the field, to work independently, meet deadlines and keep supervisor informed.
Knowledge of, and skill in using, various computer software including Word, Excel and Outlook Fluency in Swahili and English

Maintaining good relations with stakeholders including bankers and Partners etc.

Design suitable internal control measures through clear segregation of duties amongst the finance team.

Qualifications and experience:

Business degree /MBA majoring in Finance /Commerce or Accounting with a professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, ICMA, CIMA etc.
Director level prior experience in an organization with an annual turnover of above 10 billion.
Registered by NBAA at least at the category of associate ship

Qualifications and experience
MBA Corporate Management / or related field with extensive experience in Senior Management position for not less than 12 years commercial sector experience will be an added advantage.
Qualified CPA (T) ACCA, CIMA or ACA will be an added advantage.
Experience in project and change management.
Understand of Sciences Research and Development procedures is Key.
Staff management experience and extensive experience of Resources management.
