Procurement Analyst Job Vacancy at World Vision Tanzania



Job Title:  Procurement Analyst
Ref No: WVT/P&C/F13/12
Reports to:Supply Chain Manager
Location: Arusha

Purpose of the position:
Receipting and tracking movement of Purchase Requests (PRs) & Purchase Orders (POs) within the Supply Chain Department ensuring that all PR received in NO supply chain office are accounted for.  Draw various reports pertaining to purchases against the PRs and share the reports with the Senior Leaders and Supply Chain officers on a weekly basis and with the rest of stakeholders on a monthly basis.

Major Responsibilities:
1: Management of PRs coming to SCM Dept
Capture all details of PRFs coming to Procurement from the user departments
follow up and capture all data on the processing of the PRFs on a weekly basis from the time it comes into procurement to the time when the delivery is done to the stores

2. Track POs for deliveries of goods and services  
Together with the stores  liaise with the Divisions / ADPs / grants officers to confirm receipt of goods in condition to enable accounts to pay

3. Management of PR and PO tracking tools and draw management reports        
Draw various reports pertaining to procurement on received PRs on a weekly basis and share with the Supply Chain  Manager and Support services Associate Directors and  share with other stakeholders on a monthly basis
Show any financial savings on the procurement process for each PRF
Show any savings in the procurement process in terms of time taken to procure the goods and/or service

4. Capture data from the accounts office on payments to the suppliers for the goods and services delivered to WVT

5.Contribute to the development and implementation of sourcing strategies

6. Assist in the coordination and consolidation of annual procurement plans from the ADPs and all other WV departments to create an annual aggregated procurement plan

Minimum Qualification required:
Bachelors degree preferably Business related
Post graduate qualification in Supplies chain management preferred
Experience:
At least 3 years experience in SCM or data analysis work

Technical Skills & Abilities:
Excellent computer skills, MS excel and Access
High professional ethics and whose integrity is beyond reproach
Good interpersonal skills and a natural organizer
Proven people and communication skills

Job Title:  Livelihoods Facilitators(4)
Reports to: Zonal Manager (administratively) and Livelihood Specialist (Technically)
Location: Kigoma/Tanga

Purpose of the position:
Under the supervision of Livelihood Manager, the Livelihood Facilitator will be responsible for the development, planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting of all livelihoods activities under his/her supervision
The position will specifically work to enhance knowledge and capacity of communities, agricultural groups, businesses, Department of Agriculture and other program partners to implement a series of activities designed to increase income of rural households and hence combating the exploitive child labor in Tanga and Kigoma regions.

The Livelihoods Facilitator will work under the direction of the Livelihoods Manager and in collaboration with the Livelihoods Specialist for WEKEZA Program will perform the designated tasks in order to achieve programmatic objectives and demonstrate a quality of excellent work standards that is an example to others.

S/he will also communicate World Vision's Core values and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life

Major Responsibilities:
1.     Support the Livelihood Manager in pproviding technical support, training and guidance on best practices to the proposed project as related to sustainable livelihoods and youth employment interventions

2.     Facilitating the quality and relevance of the project’s livelihoods activities to promote the sustainable reduction of child labor and safe and productive employment for young people of working age within the target geographic areas

3.     In collaboration with Livelihood Manager facilitate the project team, including partner staff, and others to ensure that all interventions take into account the holistic needs and capabilities of conflict-affected youth and support their protection and development

4.     Supporting the project beneficiaries in the establishment of, or strengthening of, non-formal or functional literacy and numeracy programs, technical vocational education, livelihood and enterprise development opportunities, that provide targeted support and opportunities to youth

5.     Facilitate the design, monitoring and evaluation of activities aimed at the economic strengthening of households and communities to reduce reliance on child labor

6.     Perform day to day program activities and ensuring that in all interventions, there are an explicit inclusion and expectation of promoting the active engagement of youth at all stages of the project cycle, and building leadership capacity

7.     Report project progress ensuring goals and objectives are achieved within approved budgets.

8.     Facilitate a market-based agricultural approach, including analyzing value chains and linking private sector to targeted farmer groups and communities to improve agriculture production, agribusiness and marketing of food crops and facilitate access to price information and connect farmers to markets by creating linkages between farmer groups and the private sector

9.    Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports in a timely manner

10.  Demonstrate child protection standards, core values and gender inclusion and integration in the INVEST/WEKEZA project.

Minimum Qualification required:
A degree in agricultural marketing, agriculture economics or other agriculture discipline with work experience in rural agriculture and or marketing and agribusiness.

Experience:
At least three years experience working with agricultural production and rural agribusiness.

Technical Skills & Abilities:
Ability to conduct assessments, especially agriculture systems, technology, markets and products assessments and using market data for decision making.
Demonstrate abilities as a motivator, mobilizer, mover, networker, escalated oral and written presentation skills.
Good understanding of food security concepts and livelihood programming.
Computer skills, particularly with online web applications and Microsoft Excel, necessary.
Ability to work independently with little guidance and to report effectively on project progress.
Ability to represent World Vision in key stakeholder meetings, on telephone calls, and at food security, livelihoods and Environmental management forums required.
Willingness to work in rural areas.
