The US Embassy is inviting applications from qualified Tanzanians for the position of Project Development Specialist at United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Tanzania. This is a full-time Personal Services Contract position.
Basic Function of Position
The USAID Project Development PDS (PDS ) position is established in the Strategic Planning and Program Support Office (SPPS) to provide focus to USAID Tanzania program planning, program/project/activity development, and program policy analysis in order to support the Mission's Country Development and Cooperation Strategy (CDCS). In this role, the participates in leading the project development of Mission assistance programs/projects/activities, and in the preparation and management of major documents in support of the overall portfolio to USAID/Washington, The Embassy and other USG Agencies at post, and the US Congress. The PDS may be assigned to manage the Project Design Division in the absence and/or preoccupation of the Project Development Officer.
