A Sales and Marketing officer will be responsible for the overseeing the entire distribution process of the magazine.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Sales planning, distribution and achieving weekly and monthly targets of the Magazine
• Responsible for search and maintaining the existing advertising customers.
• He/ she are responsible for increasing the subscription base of the periodical by devising and implementing various
• Establishing and achieving business goals and communicates them to sales team members.
• Identifying and maintaining contacts with the selling points and vendors.
• Lobbying advertisement to the magazine.
• Ensuring door to door sales of the magazine.
• Watching distribution costs and ensuring efficient and timely distribution.
• Coordinating with outlets for proper stockings & achieving sales targets.
• He/ she maintain records of all sales performance, reporting progress to management.
• Closing deals and recording the details.
Skills and Specifications:
• A candidate must be a self-starter. This is a fast-paced, high-pressure role
• Must have good planning skills to ensure proper magazine distribution
• Excellent management and organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal, and selling skills
• A candidate must be able to thrive within a deadline-driven environment.
• Must be able to build and maintain strong relationships with others in order to get the job done.
• Creativity in developing new sales strategies is also important.
Education and Qualifications;
• Should have at least a university/ college degree in sales and marketing along with 2-3 years of work experience in marketing and sales is preferred.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience managing all aspects of the magazine sales; including billing, new subscriptions and subscriber renewals; of a publication of similar format and size.
