Job Title: Interims Receptionist (temporary for 6 months)

Employer: Embassy of Switzerland and Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation

Duty Station: Dar Es Salaam

Responsibilities:

Overall management of the reception and switchboard
Meeting rooms management (reservation, preparation etc.)
Welcomes on-site visitors, determines natures of business and announces visitors to appropriate personnel
Monitor visitor access
Handle visa inquires, and manage interviews appointments for visa applicants
Assist/perform other clerical duties as requested by the Administration Manager

Requirements

The Receptionist will be the first contact point for our visitors/callers and must have a very good understanding and appreciation and commitment to “customer service”.


Education

Age 25+
University Degree or secondary school with vocational training in office/secretariat management
Good command of written and spoken English and Kiswahili

Experience

Minimum of 2 years professional experience
Previous work experience in a similar position is an advantage

Other skills

Excellent oral communicator: speaks clearly and persuasively in a positive or negative situation
Able to listen and get clarifications if required; responds well to questions
Good IT skills, able to work with Ms Office (Outlook, Ms Word and Excel )
