URC is currently implementing a project to improve the diagnosis and management of febrile illness in children under the age of five years now known as the "Tibu Homa Project" in the Lake Zone- Tanzania. This is a 5 year project effective April 2011 and addressing a major public health problem-the differential diagnosis and management of fever in children. URC is seeking to recruit Quality Improvement Advisors for Mara, Shinyanga and Simiyu 'Regions.
• The Quality Improvement Advisor will provide technical support and oversight in the implementation of activities o improve case management at facility level in the Lake Zone.
• Working under the direction of the Technical director, he/she will be responsible for coordinating case management training through dlMCI and to mentor in quality improvement approaches and other activities as appropriate and as needed.
• Tibu Homa is looking for people with a first degree clinical training who have the skills in continuous quality improvement training and mentorship; have experience working with MOHSW and other implementing partners I the health sector; experience in performance monitoring tracking priority QI indicators
• Experience in implementing newborn and child health programs, including community-case management and a track record in improving planning, management, and budgeting of health activities is an added advantage
