On behalf of our client in the Telecom Industry based in Arusha we are urgently seeking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated Senior Human Resources Manager with job Ref Number: GS/HT/06313 to support our rapid expansion throughout Tanzania.
Job Purpose

The Senior HR position will provide a broad range of HR support in support of business objectives, strategic goals, and human resource initiatives for a large client group, The selected candidate will proactively partner with organizational leaders to develop strategies & achieve organizational objectives as we coach and counsel on how to maximize employee engagement at all levels to achieve and sustain a positive employee relations environment.

The Senior HR will also perform diverse assignments including staffing, talent management, compensation, diversity, learning and development, performance management, organizational development, change management, training, employee relations, and other special projects as assigned.

Principal Responsibilities include:

Provide full service HR support.
Deploy and follow through of all HR initiatives, processes and systems.
Partner with site Team leader to drive initiatives across the site while maintaining schedule fidelity; utilize six sigma methodologies to identify and drive continuous process improvement.
Influence managers on optimal workforce utilization, talent management, and performance differentiation.
Proactively address change opportunities (people, process, structure) and create plans to address.
Create an environment of positive employee relations, keeps confidentiality, establishes trust and credibility, seen by employees as approachable and fair, balances business needs with employee needs, and spends significant time interfacing directly with employees/client base.
Support and properly apply company policies and practices. Investigate and ensure fair resolution of issues with company policies and practices.
Identify training needs in client base and identify/recommend training programs as needed.
Partner with functional HR and other teams addressing business-wide issues/projects drive critical core processes (Salary Planning, Performance & Development, Census Management, and Management Readiness Reviews).
Promote company positive Behaviors.

Basic Qualifications:

Tanzania citizenship required
Bachelor's degree in business or Human Resources discipline.
Minimum of 7 years of HR Generalist experience in Private sector.

Additional Qualifications:

Master's degree in Human Resources or labor relations preferred.
Experience with and working knowledge of HR laws, practices, policies and models.
Strong bias for action and a keen sense of urgency with limited guidance and superior results.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and navigate a highly matrixed organization.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor based on organizational level.
Analytical skills to rationalize business concepts and rapidly translate them into usable data.
Understand the Corporation's compensation philosophy, the relationship between compensation and benefits as a total package and can explain all plans and programs to employees.
Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and HR Systems knowledge.
